Pardon My French

103 Avenue B
New York, NY 10009
P. (212) 358-9683

Description:

Pardon My French gives the bistro-style restaurant a contemporary spin, featuring Mediterranean influenced tapas to go along with a modern approach to classic French fare. For Chef Guilherme Barreto, this is the culmination of over two decades of preparing global cuisine for prestigious restaurants and hospitality groups. The Brazilian/French chef started his culinary journey by learning from the best and refining his skills as he climbed up the ranks to work with greats such as Tavistock Group as an Executive Chef in Chicago, as well as an executive role with two-star Michelin Chef Terrance Brennan at his restaurants Picholine and Artisanal. Here at Pardon My French, the chef and his team dazzle with sophisticated flavors like the beef tartare "Our Way", crispy Dungeness crab and potato cake, chicken tagine, roasted lamb shoulder, and seafood casserole with buckwheat crust. Desserts like the homemade tiramisu and the freshly made crepes with almond cream and pistachio ice cream are perfect curtain calls. And the brunch is a marvelous way to spend one of your early weekend days dining, especially with the bottomless Bloody Mary option. The speakeasy bar is where patrons can sip on mixologist Simon Sebbah's thoughtfully crafted cocktails featuring in-house infused liquors and garnishes. Some of the wines are offered throughout the restaurant "a la ficelle", giving guests the option to sample wines "by the glass" and pay based on consumption by Pardon My French's standard measurements -- an ancient practice on the streets of France, but a fresh new concept for New Yorkers.
